typography booklet

Nerding out on typography can be extremely rewarding. With this school project I took a deep dive into Herb Lubalin and his typeface Lubalin Graph. While creating a 4-page physical booklet, I was able to celebrate all aspects of 1974 when this typeface first appeared publicly. The challenge included using one spot color, black and white, and no other typefaces other than Lubalin Graph. The booklet was compiled in Adobe InDesign with all live type for its final presentation.

Remember, this bold slab serif typeface was created for impact, so while trying to read the justified body copy which also uses Labalin Graph, you'll shake your head and wonder "WHY????" Just remember this project is for fun and to celebrate all the nuances that this typeface can bring to a project. Word to the wise...never EVER use this typeface as body copy unless you wish ill will on your readers.
